Michigan government clerk Albert Dunham worked for the Secretary of State in Lansing. Albert Dunham was born in Pulaski Township, Jackson County, Michigan on June 1, 1845, to Harrison and Mary (Skillen) Dunham, pioneers of the county. In February 1865, Dunham enlisted in Company D, 2nd Michigan Infantry and was immediately sent to the front, joining the Army of the Potomac.
